Domaine Alice Hartmann has holdings in some of the most prized vineyards here, most notably Koeppchen, perhaps the most famous terroir within the under-appreciated wine region.

Though the domaine was founded over 200 years ago, Mme. Alice Hartmann purchased the estate in 1920. She was a great proponent of Reisling, and kept things running even through the Second World War (Luxembourg was a neutral state, though remained occupied by Germany for most of the war).

Following her death, a nephew took things over in the 1980s. Though operations were handed over to Pierre Wesner and Jean Godard (both from winemaking families) in 1996, the Alice Hartmann name lives on in the pink-hued estate overlooking the Moselle river.
