Chardonnay 2019
Funky Citrus & Stone
This citrus- and limestone-inflected Chardonnay comes from a Belgian terroir with remnants of an ancient ocean bed. In other words, these tastes go back to the age of dinosaurs; just check out the gnarly 70-million-year-old squid on the label. Welcome to Jurassic Wine.
We love this Chardonnay for it's minerality. It's quite unexpected for what most drinkers think of as Chardonnay, showing us a lovely new side to this grape's possibilities.
Founded in 2000 by cello-playing Dutchman Piet Akkermans and succeeded by Albert Meijer, Wijndomein Pietershof produces fresh, mineral-driven wines that are truly made in the vineyard. Learn more→
