Blend of 2 different Orange wines Style: COMPLEX ORANGE ROSE
50% PINOT GRIS, from ALSACE (France) with sandstone and granite as a base and 50% GEWURZTRAMINER from RHEIN (Germany). Picked in mid-September 2022 and early October 2023. Then macerated without égrappage in a semi-carbonic manner and allowed to soak without pigaege for 4 weeks.
Without debourbage/battonage or filtration, this wine was aged for 16 months on coarse lees in bordelaise barrique.
It was a conscious choice to deliver the wine on this coarse lees to achieve a fuller mouthfeel and complexity
During the bearing process throughout the year, it was decided not to compensate for the evaporation through the wood by topping up. This results in a wine with higher concentrated flavors and a deep orange color.
All wine is without the addition of sulfur or other additives or preservatives, and without methods such as débourbage, pigeage, delestage, pied de cuve, ...
