With good aim from Domein Holset's charming Dutch chateau, you could pop a cork into both Belgium and Germany. The rolling hills and quaint local town are the perfect setting for the Netherland's only exclusive sparkling wine producer.

The restored home is not just for wine, travelers are welcome to stay overnight, enjoy an indulgent breakfast on the terrace, and spend their day walking through the fields and vineyards around the property.

Starting exclusively with newer grape varieties like Johanniter, Cabernet Blanc, and Souvignier Gris, the domein is slowly adding other grape styles like Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc.

The focus on sparkling wines come from the passion of owners Erik and Marianne Blijdesteijn who are determined to make the best Dutch sparkling wine. In this pursuit, a specialist wine maker and new director joined the team in 2020.
