In the riverside village of Ahn, second and third generation winemakers Raymond and Marc Berna play gentle underdogs to nearby wine families dating back several hundred years. However, ask a winemaker in Luxembourg what other producer’s bottles they’ve been drinking and, chances are, it’s something from Berna.

Terroir: Keuper and Muschelkalk soils dating from the Upper Triassic period help with heat retention and water circulation, making an ideal basis for the cultivation of Burgundian varieties (Pinot Noir & Chardonnay).
